Trans woman who falsely accused multiple men of rape tells the court she lied

A trans woman has come clean after lying about being raped, making false accusations against multiple men.

Khloe Simmonds, 26, was charged with eight counts of perverting the course of justice related to false accusations made against the supposed attackers between 2018 and 2026. Harrow Crown Court heard that Simmonds spent hundreds of hours with police reinforcing fabricated claims of serious sexual assault while posing as a victim.

At the height of her crimes, Simmonds was responsible for 2.5% of all rape and serious sexual assault reports in Harrow, making at least 12 false accusations involving six men. Several men she accused of rape were arrested and detained for short periods before being freed, the court heard, reports Daily Star.

Sentencing Simmonds to seven-and-a-half years in prison, His Honor Judge John Lodge said: “You repeatedly made false allegations of rape between July 2018 and January 2026. This was a sustained pattern of conduct, not isolated incidents.”

The judge noted that Simmonds’ actions had impacted the resources that should have been available to investigate cases involving “genuine victims of serious crime.”

The court was told that Simmonds is a pre-operative trans woman, and she was referred to using female pronouns throughout the hearing.

Simmonds initially appeared at the sentencing via video link from HMP Wormwood Scrubs, west London, but subsequently returned to her cell and refused to continue watching.

Prosecutor Ben Temple told the court that during the summer of 2018, Simmonds alleged that an Afghan national had held a knife to her throat and subjected her to oral rape.

The man was identified, arrested, taken into custody, and spent 88 days under police investigation, the court heard.

He denied the allegation and maintained that it was in fact Simmonds who had made unwanted advances toward him, which he had rejected.

In February 2022, Simmonds met a chef through the dating app Grindr and invited him back to her apartment. The court heard that after drinking alcohol with the defendant, he decided to leave as he felt uncomfortable.

After he left, Simmonds called 999 claiming she had been raped and alleged that he had spiked her drink by adding something to her beverage.

The man was arrested outside his home and told police that while at her apartment, he had used the bathroom, and upon returning, noticed that his beer smelled of whisky.

In his victim impact statement, he described the arrest process as “humiliating,” adding that he spent 20 hours at the police station.

The court was also told that the following month, Simmonds had spent an evening out on a date before taking a taxi home. Upon her arrival home, she dialed 999 and accused the taxi driver of rape.

Police retrieved data from the vehicle, which revealed it had never dropped below 25 miles per hour and had not stopped at any point. Temple stated that this evidence “annihilated the allegation,” resulting in Simmonds being taken into custody on suspicion of perverting the course of public justice.

The court heard that she admitted the accusations were fabricated. In a victim impact statement, the taxi driver described the ordeal as “traumatic.”

That same June, Simmonds matched with a musician on Grindr and, following a night of drinking, the pair ended up back at her home. Feeling tired, he requested to sleep on Simmonds’ sofa.

The court was told there was no sexual contact between them and he fell asleep. While he was resting, Simmonds contacted the police and falsely claimed the man had orally raped her.

He was taken in by authorities but firmly denied any sexual contact had taken place, telling police: “I am an innocent man.”

In a victim impact statement, he said: “I find it deeply distressing that an innocent person could be subjected to such a traumatic process because of a deliberate lie.”
