Nonprofits sue DOJ over refusal to provide public records on now-defunct national police accountability database
Four organisations have sued the Department of Justice in federal court after it failed to release records on the National Law Enforcement Accountability Database, a federal police misconduct registry created in 2023 and shut down in early 2025.
