Judge was 'wrong' to hear case from bed while recovering from surgery
The Court of Appeal found a deputy High Court judge should not have heard a suspended optometrist's appeal by video link from his bed, the day after surgery on a ruptured Achilles tendon, though it ruled the hearing caused no injustice.
